Zoom exclusive call
Dear readers,
We're happy to invite you to the inaugural session of Swarajya's new monthly digital event series!
Starting this month, as part of your subscription, you'll have access to exclusive webinars and virtual meetups.
The webinars will feature top achievers from various fields, and the virtual meetups will include interactions with the Swarajya Team.
We've always wanted to host such exclusive events for our subscribers, and we are excited to kick off this new series, which we hope will become a regular ritual.
Inaugural Event:
Who's the guest: Chess Coach and Grandmaster R B Ramesh
When: 22 July 2024 (Monday)
Time: 7 to 8 PM, India Time
Host: Swarajya columnist K Balakumar
R B Ramesh is a grandmaster and has won the 2002 British Chess Championship and the 2007 Commonwealth Championship.
Furthermore, he was the coach of the Indian team that won the bronze medal at the 2014 Chess Olympiad.
He left a stable job to start the Chess Gurukul academy, producing numerous champions. His coaching philosophy extends beyond chess, teaching life lessons and discipline.
Nicknamed the 'Master Shifu of Indian Chess,' Ramesh has trained many top young players, including R Praggnanandhaa, who became the world’s #1 two years back.
As a warm-up to the conversation, or if you can't wait to know more about him, we have a detailed profile of Ramesh, that talks about his journey and the incredible impact he has had on the world of chess: The Guru Of Grandmasters.
The session will be broadly split into two parts.
First up, a 40-minute conversation: We will discuss with R B Ramesh his thoughts on the current Indian Chess scene and its future. (We have some very interesting questions lined up!)
Next, interaction time for subscribers with the guest, where you can ask your questions to the grandmaster.
Sounds intriguing? Get your subscription, for as little as ₹1200 ₹699 and get passes to all Swarajya events, along with unlimited access to swarajyamag.com and its apps.
