Tata Power To Set Up 100 MW Solar Project For SJVN In Gujarat

Tata Power Solar Systems Limited (TPSSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), has received the 'Letter of Award' (LoA) of Rs 612 crore for setting up a 100 MW ground-mounted solar project for SJVN Limited (SJVN), the company said in a release on Thursday (15 September).

SJVN, a joint venture between the Central government and Himachal Pradesh government, has business interests in hydro, thermal, solar, wind and in power transmission and power Trading.

The bids for the project, located at the Raghanesda solar park plot C, Gujarat, were invited earlier this year, the company said.

The LoA was awarded through tariff-based competitive bidding, it added.


Speaking on the win, Ashish Khanna, CEO, TPREL, said, "We are glad to be associated with SJVN for setting up this 100MW landmark solar project in the ground-mounted segment".

"The project win further solidifies our expertise in developing and deploying large scale renewable projects for the public and corporate sector clients around the country" Khanna added.

TPSSL has commissioned several large scale solar ground-mounted projects in the country. With this win, the total portfolio of the company will touch 9.9 GWp.
