Ahead of its grand opening along with Ayodhya Airport, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 30 December, Ayodhya station has been renamed as Ayodhya Dham.

As the opening of Ram Temple at Ayodhya is approaching, the town is buzzing with various activities including final preparation of the much awaited event.

In order to provide better connectivity, six Vande Bharat trains will also be launched virtually on 30 December, for different routes, out of which one will connect Ayodhyya to Anand Vihar (Delhi).

The other routes include Vaishno Devi to New Delhi, Jalna to Mumbai, Coimbatore to Bengaluru, Amritsar to Delhi, and Mangaluru Central to Madgaon.

According to the Indian Railways, two non-AC Amrit Bharat trains will also be flagged off from Ayodhya. While one is from Ayodhya to Sitamarhi, the birthplace of Sita, the other Amrit Bharat Express will be for Bangalore from Malda.

In order to give a better connectivity and enhance Ayodhya's train network, Railways will soon launch the mega plan for connecting 25 major cities with Ayodhya Dham.

The aim is to provide a seamless travel experience to all the passengers and devotees, the Railways maintains.

Amrit Bharat Express is equipped with modern passenger amenities and will run at an average speed of 130 kmph.

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has inspected the Amrit Bharat train at New Delhi station recently, to ensure the smooth launching of the first such service in the country.
