DMRC, Konkan Railway To Work Together In Infrastructure Development In India, Abroad

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is looking to jointly pitch for upcoming metro rail projects in India and abroad with Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL).

The two companies last week signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in this regard.

The MoU designates both organisations as project service providers for a wide spectrum of infrastructure projects encompassing metro/railways, high-speed rail, highways, mega-bridges, tunnels, institutional buildings, workshops or depots, S&T works, and railway electrification.

The collaboration between DMRC and KRCL will help the organisations to work together to develop new projects and share expertise in the future, it further added.

This initiative follows DMRC's previous partnerships, including a memorandum of understanding with the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) in November 2023, aimed at working together in the field of infrastructure development in India and abroad.

Moreover, DMRC has also tied up with institutions like Gurgaon-based Management Development Institute (MDI), IIT-Delhi, and DTU (Delhi Technological University) to collectively pursue international projects, focusing on areas such as capacity building, institution development, and training programmes.
