The Noida Authority has spent Rs 20,500 crore on infrastructure and development work in the last five years.
Out of the total amount, Rs 8,476 crore has been shelled out in the construction of three metro corridors. The making of six multilevel parking facilities, which can accommodate 12,653 vehicles, has consumed an additional Rs 1,047 crore.
Noida’s first elevated road from Vishwa Bharati to Sector 61 cost Rs 480 crore.
Officials from the authority claimed that projects worth Rs 3,265 crore are set to be launched whereas those amounting to Rs 3,227 crore are in separate stages of completion currently.
“The Kondli underpass on the Noida - Greater Noida expressway and an STP in Sector 168 will be completed in June. They are on the lists of projects to be ready within 100 days of the Yogi 2.0 government,” Noida Authority’s principal general manager Rajiv Tyagi was quoted in a report by The Economic Times.
Moreover, amongst several other ongoing initiatives, work on the Aqua Line metro route in the Noida Extension and a heliport in Sector 151A are set to begin soon.
