At least 11 hand sanitiser brands have been booked after their samples failed the quality tests in Haryana amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Health Minister Anil Vij said on Wednesday (5 August).
Vij also told that an order has been issued to cancel or suspend the licences of the said manufacturers, as per a PTI report published by News18.
The Food and Drug Administration of Haryana had collected at least 248 samples of sanitisers from various districts out of which the reports of 123 tests had also been received.
He has also ordered the authorities to seize the entire stock of the sanitiser brands that have failed to perform as per quality parameters.
He said instructions have been given to seize entire stock of the sanitizer brands which failed the tests from the market.
Several complaints of bad quality or fake sanitisers had been received by the state authorities during the initial stage of the pandemic, Vij said, while adding that following which the Food and Drug Administration had been asked to take samples for quality tests.
