15 Delhi University Colleges To Suspend Classes To Protest Delhi Govt's Release Of Inadequate Or No Salary Funds

Delhi University (DU)'s teacher's association called DUTA has decided to organise a relay strike of four days against the Chief Minister (CM) Arvind Kejriwal led Delhi Government over the release of inadequate of funds for six colleges, and not releasing any money to six other colleges which are under audit, reports Times of India.

While Delhi Government had on 22 September released funds for six fully funded DU colleges which are not undergoing any special audit, the teachers, however, have pointed that the funds released are not adequate and will only be able to cover for the pending salaries till July month.

Ray said that on the first two days of the strike, a 'Satyagraha' would be observed. He also added, "We do not want to halt the teaching-learning process, but the strike is the least we can do to fight for our rights."
