Adityanath Orders Removal Of Red Beacons And Party Flags, Bans Gutka And Pan In Government Offices

Signalling his arrival at the Chief Minister’s office in Lucknow, Yogi Adityanath, the newly elected CM of Uttar Pradesh (UP), has ordered his ministers and senior officials to remove the red beacons and the party flags atop their vehicles. The move, aimed at ending VIP culture in UP, came soon after he directed officials to provide details of their movable and immovable properties within 15 days.

Adityanath has also banned sales and consumption of gutka, pan masala in all government offices in the state.

On Monday, he administered a cleanliness pledge to the government officials. The officials also pledged to give their 100 hours annually for the cause. The move came during the first meeting held by Adityanath with senior officials of all departments in Lok Bhawan. Deputy chief ministers of the state Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma were also present at the meeting.

He had directed all the government officials to read the 'Sankalpatra' released by the Bharatiya Janata Party and implement it efficiently.
