In yet another setback for AgustaWestland chopper scam accused middleman Christian Michel, Delhi's Patiala House Court has ordered for him to be in judicial custody till 26 February, reports The LiveMint.
Michel was produced before the watchful eye of Special Judge Arvind Kumar. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had looked for his judicial custody regarding its probe into a money-laundering case.
Michel was extradited and captured by ED in December and sent to seven days in custody of the agency over money-laundering charges in the scam by the Patiala House court. The agency is exploring the money trail in the AgustaWestland case.
Christian Michel was captured in the UAE and moved to India on 4 December. The following day, he was delivered under the steady gaze of the court which permitted his five-day custodial interrogation by the CBI, which was later stretched by five more days.
