Attacked In Two, Dead In Seven And Dismembered in 22 Minutes – Gory Details Of Khashoggi’s Murder Emerge

Saudi dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi was attacked at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul within two minutes after he entered the building and was dead in seven minutes, the New York Times has reported.

The report quoted a source close to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan saying that “new specificity to the Turkish claims about the speed with which Khashoggi was killed and said (that) it also showed premeditation”.

According to the report, Khashoggi was attacked within two minutes of entering the consulate, dead within seven minutes and dismembered in 22 minutes. Turkish officials have previously stated that the Saudi killer team finished the murderous job and left the consulate in less than two hours.

The report also says that Saudi agents who killed Khashoggi brought a body double who resembled the dissident and wore his clothes as part of a cover-up.

CNN aired visuals of a Turkish surveillance video which showed a body-double wearing Khashoggi’s clothes and a fake beard leaving the Saudi consulate through the back door less than two hours after the journalist first entered the building.

A Turkish newspaper also reported on Monday (22 October) that a member of the entourage called Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman’s (MBS) office from the consulate four times on the day of Khashoggi’s murder, indicating that perhaps MBS may have had more information than he’s claiming.

After a series of outright denials, Saudi government admitted last Saturday (19 October) that Khashoggi was killed inside the Saudi consulate in Turkey at the hands of Saudi government officials during an altercation on 2 October. Saudis claimed that the death was ‘accidental’.

Despite several media users nailing the official Saudi account and point to an act of cold-blooded murder but Saudi officials even now have continue to describe Khashoggi’s death as a “rogue operation” and a “tremendous mistake”.
