Bihar: 11 Students Draw Inspiration From ‘Munna Bhai’ To Cheat In Matriculation Exam; Get Expelled

Eleven examinees were expelled on the first day of the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB)-conducted matriculation exam, reports the Hindustan Times.

On Thursday (21 February), the exams began with strong security in the state as over 16 lakh students had appeared for the English exam in 1,418 examination centres.

Examinees came and queued up outside their examination centres long before their exams began. Both, the invigilators and the police were thoroughly checking the examinees. The exams happened in two shifts - 9.30 am and 12.45 pm.

According to the chairman of BSEB, Anand Kishor, four 'Munnabhais' were arrested for writing the exams on behalf of other candidates in districts of Munger and Gaya. Kishor also conducted surprise visit at the Girls High School, KB Saday High School, Sherulahpur and Ram Lakhan Singh Yadav High School in Punaichak.

In the 74 centres in Patna city, the exams were conducted smoothly, the report added. Further, the board has set up four model examination centres at Girls High School in Shastri Nagar, Bankipur Girls High School, Girls High School, Gardanibagh and Kamala Nehru Girls High School in Yarpur.

The candidates were told to verify the details of name, roll number, subject code, examination date and registration number mentioned in the answer sheets with the Optical mark recognition (OMR) sheet.
