Kerala Police on 2 November nabbed two workers of the Communist Party of India- Marxist (CPI-M) for alleged links to the Maoists, and for criticising the police force's Thunderbolt commandos led killing of four Maoists in Kerala's Palakkad district, reports The Hindu.
The two who have been arrested, Alan Suhaib and Thaha Fazal had circulated notices chiding the state police for the killing of the Maoists. Upon initial investigation, the police have claimed that it has solid evidence that the duo had maintained contact with Maoist functionaries.
The police have revealed that in the searches against the Suhaib and Fazal, they recovered pamphlets promoting Maoist ideologies. The force has now intensified the search for third such individual who ran from the spot upon seeing the police force approaching.
