Many devotees were seen flouting the Covid-19 safety norms which have been put in place at Delhi's Jama Masjid, ahead of the Eid-Al-Adha which will be celebrated tomorrow (31 July), NDTV has reported.

As per the report, many devotees flouted social distancing norms and offered prayers while sitting at a close proximity with each other. The devotees also visited the mosque without wearing masks, which was mandated by the mosque management.

Similarly Karnataka has banned the offering of Namaz at open grounds on Eid and only 50 people will be permitted to offer Namaz inside mosques. No other place will be allowed to host a Namaz.

West Bengal has announced that no lockdown will be observed in the state on the occasion of Eid.
