With the counting of votes going on in Haryana, the early trends of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) establishing lead seem to be fading away. In a closely contested election, BJP looks way short of breaching the majority mark i.e. 46 for the state 90-seat Assembly.
As per recent trends, Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) is leading at 12 seats and its chief Dushyant Chautala can play a role in forming the state government. BJP is leading on 37 seats while the Congress is currently leading on 33 seats.
In a recent report by Times Now, it has emerged that Congress has already put an offer on the table to the JJP for a potential coalition. The grand old party has offered the Chief Minister's post to JJP chief Dushyant Singh Chautala to sweeten the deal.
