IIM Calcutta Gains Five Places In FT ‘Masters In Management’ Rankings 2018

The flagship two-year-management programme of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has gone up by five places from 28 last year to 23 in 2018 in the Financial Times ‘Masters in Management’ rankings, Business Standard has reported. IIM-Ahmedabad has jumped two ranks from 21 to 19 this year. IIM Bangalore has retained its earlier rank of 26.

“We are happy our efforts toward continuous improvement are being acknowledged by international agencies and are positively reflected in our international standing,” dean of new initiatives & external relations, Prashant Mishra, told Business Standard.

“Keeping internalisation in focus, IIM-C is committed to offer the best management education in the country. The academic infrastructure, sports facilities, and all other possible areas of resources have gained substantially, according to the world standard, to attract more and more international students. Our alliance with CEMS and ESCP Europe has paved the way to make the double-degree programme a success,” the institute’s official statement said in reaction to the jump in its rankings.

The ranking is based on the data collected from the two surveys. One of the participating B-schools and the other, of the alumni that graduated three years ago.
