A group of students from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati have developed a contactless smartphone application to ease air travel for passengers amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, reports Asian News International (ANI).

Called 'Flyzy', the application claims to be the nation's first dedicated technology solution for aviation which enables contactless interaction between passengers and the airport and airline administrations and crews.

The application boasts of four primary features enabling the passenger to find out about information related to passenger's processing, airport shopping, parking and baggage drop. It aims to help maintain social distancing without making the processing slow.

It should be noted that Meena is already in talks with airport authorities in Guwahati, Mumbai and Bengaluru to operationalise the usage of 'Flyzy'.
