Indian Air Force (IAF) game, featuring Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, who shot down a Pakistani F-16 fighter jet, is in the list of ‘Best apps of 2019’, by Google, reports The Times Of India.

The app has been added to the annual list of best Android apps across categories and is also the favourite of millions of Android users globally.

The game featuring Wing Commander Abhinandan is called ‘Indian Air Force: A Cut Above’ and is available on both Android and iOS for free.

The app was part of 2019 Users Choice winners and made it to the nominations of the top 10 most popular games of 2019.

This game was developed by Delhi-based Threye Interactive which had also created a similar game for the IAF in 2014 called ‘Guardians of Skies’ but have added a new storyline along with some gameplay changes.

In the game the player can simulate missions similar to the one Wing Commander Abhinandan and option to use other fighter planes operated by IAF.

Users can choose any of the 10 missions to experience different scenarios and supports online multiplayer as explained by the developer, “Multiplayer game will have two modes – a squad vs squad where players team up, and a free for all, where the last man standing will be the winner.”

This feature is expected to be available later.
