Indian Intelligence agencies have alerted Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police about an infiltration threat from the Indo-Pak border, reports India Today.
BSF and Punjab Police have stepped up day and night patrolling operations along the Indo-Pak border.
Security forces are keeping an eye on anti-social elements border districts and alerts have also been issued to Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, and Gujarat.
Indo-Pak border in Punjab is 550-kilometre long and after the recovery of arms ammunition and narcotics from smugglers who are now using drones, security forces are plugging all the soft targets for ingress.
Due to winter and foggy weather, the visibility is very poor, but that has not deterred intelligence agencies to keep a close eye on these areas.
The recent recovery of satellite phones from the terrorists and smugglers who were caught by the forces, indicates these communication devises were meant for Jammu and Kashmir.
