ISIS Tactics Now In Kashmir? Terrorists Record Brutal Execution Of Innocent Youths, Upload It On Social Media

Shopian district of South Kashmir witnessed another round of gruesome violence this week, including kidnappings and killings of local youths by terrorists. In a disturbing new twist, videos capturing the execution of two kidnapped youths were uploaded to social media, as per a report by The Tribune.

The strife-torn district has seen a total of eight kidnappings of youths since November 15. The two youths who were killed by terrorists were identified as Nadeem Manzoor (17) and Huzaif Ashraf (19). Manzoor was accused of being an army informer by the operational chief of the Hizbul Mujahideen, Riyaz Naikoo.

In a previous encounter on 6 November, two Hizbul terrorists, including an Army deserter had been killed in an Army operation, and the Hizbul commander suspected Nadeem of having tipped off the Security forces.

The second youth, Huzaif, was found with his throat slit, while Nadeem’s body was riddled with bullets. A short video of a masked man executing Huzaif’s was uploaded online. He was part of a group of five youths who had been abducted by terrorists on 17 November.

Shopian SSP Sandeep Chaudhry said, “Both Nadeem and Huzaif were innocent.” Police indicated that the Abbas module of Hizbul Mujahideen was suspected of being responsible for the brutal violence.

Incidentally, The Security forces were able to successfully strike against the terrorists on 18 November, killing two Al-Badr members. An investigation is on to determine whether the duo was involved in the aforementioned murders.
