Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu Says Govt May Place All Travellers Under Quarantine To Contain COVID-19

As Novel Coronavirus outbreak continues to spread, Prime Minister (PM) of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday (8 March) that to contain the spread of the virus in Israel, the Government might have to take the 'hard decision' to quarantine travellers from all nations, reports Asian News International (ANI).

PM Netanyahu stressed that if the Government takes any more steps, the decision would affect all nations. The development comes as the total number of those affected by the outbreak in Israel reached 39.

It should be noted that the total number of casualties at the hands of COVID-19 outbreak has touched a 3,800 globally, with the total number of confirmed cases of those affected having reached 1,09,000. Meanwhile, so far, a total of about 60,00 patients are also said to have recovered from the infection.
