A radical Islamist organisation which calls itself Al Hind Brigade has taken responsibility for the gruesome murder of Hindu leader Kamlesh Tiwari.
In a newly created channel on messaging platform Telegram, the radical Islamist group claims it committed the murder of Tiwari who tried to defame Muslims and Islam.
It also posted an ominous message promising more such killing of those who point fingers at Islam.
“Get ready to see more. The war has begun”, adds the message.
Media reports have claimed that an Islamic cleric named Anwar-ul-Haq who hails from Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor who in 2016 promised Rs 51 lakh for anyone who beheaded Kamlesh Tiwari has been detained and is being questioned. Police have clarified that he has not yet been arrested and investigation is underway.
Haq had infamously promised to pay Rs 51 lakh to anyone who beheaded the Hindu Mahasabha leader.
Yesterday evening (19 October) Kamlesh Tiwari’s wife had filed a police complaint against two radical clerics including Haq who had placed a bounty on her husband’s head.
It has also been reported that Gujarat ATS have detained three people in connection with the murder from Surat. They are being interrogated. CCTV footage from a sweet shop in Surat purportedly show two of the accused. They reportedly procured a revolver from here, which was hidden a sweet packet.
Locals are also said to be responsible for aiding the killers and also helped them escape.
