Taking a veiled at the Congress party, Karnataka Chief Minister (CM) HD Kumaraswamy opined on Tuesday (14 May) that Member of Parliament (MP), senior Congress leader and former Karnataka cabinet minister Mallikarjun Kharge was not given enough recognition for his work by his party, reports ANI.
Kumaraswamy also added that the two-time Lok Sabha MP from Gulbarga constituency, Kharge should have been made a Chief Minister long time ago, and that injustice had been meted out to the long-time congressman.
"Mallikarjun Kharge should have become the Chief Minister long ago. I feel that injustice has happened with him. I would like to clearly state that, even I feel that, Kharge has not been given recognition for all the work he has done," CM Kumaraswamy said while addressing a public rally in support of Congress party's candidate for by-election in Chincholi assembly seat, Subhash Rathod.
Chincholi will go to polls on 19 May 2019.
