Only days after creating a row for visiting JNU in solidarity with leftist protesters and for being selective in condemning the violence which was also said to have been perpetrated by leftist goons, Deepika Padukone is caught up in yet another controversy.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Deepika was discussing about movie makeups with a makeup artist by the name faby_makeupartist on TikTok and can be heard saying that Malti from Chhapaak is her third favourite “look”.
The social media users called her comment as gross and insensitive.
One user commented, “This isn't funny. How could one be so insensitive to the plight of real victims. Copying the make up. Disgusting. First making money on their misery and now making fun of their looks.”
Another remarked, “ For a few lakhs from @tiktok.. @deepikapadukonehas chosen to mock a brutally acid attacked victim face. This is downright disgusting and in poor taste.”
Similar remark was made by another twitter user who said, “ She has no sympathy with acid attack victims but to earn good money in life and enjoy that is why she mocked with tiktokmakup!”
Another user tweeted, “ This is by far, the most shameful video I have ever watched. A a face melted and burnt by a barbarian who threw acid isn’t a “look”. This is nothing short of mocking the victims, not just Laxmi.”
It should be noted that earlier too social media users had pointed that her JNU appearance was nothing but a publicity stunt for the movie as she failed to make any statement on the venue.
