North Korea Announces Cutting Of All Communication Channels With South Korea Over Anti-Pyongyang Leaflets

In a major development, North Korea announced on Tuesday (9 June) that it will cut off all communication channels with South Korea for failing to stop activists from floating anti-Pyongyang leaflets across the border, reports Times of India.
Making the announcement public, North Korea's state owned Central News Agency (CNA) shared that all cross-border communication lines which exist between the two nations shall be cut at Tuesday noon.
CNA underscored that South Korea should be forced to pay for partaking in anti-Pyongyang activities "dearly".
It should be noted that in the recent months North Korea has suspended virtually all cooperation with South Korea as its nuclear negotiations with the United States (US) have remained stalled since the breakdown of a summit between Kim Jong Un and US President Donald Trump in early 2019.
