Not Paid School Fees? Then Stand In The Sun And Collapse: This Is What Kerala School Did To Two Children

In a shocking incident in Kerala, two primary school students, one of whom is visually challenged, were reportedly made to stand in the scorching sun for two hours over non-payment of school fees. Following this, the state child rights commission on Saturday (30 March) registered a case against the school management, reports Hindustan Times.

According to the report, one of the children collapsed and was later taken to hospital.

The Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, in a press release, said that the children, Class II students of an unaided school at Karumalloor near Aluva, had not paid the last installment of fees and the management recently refused to give them permission to appear in the examination.

The commission said that a case was registered based on media reports. A report has also been sought from the education department and school authorities, commission sources were cited in the report as saying.

As per the report, a case has also been registered against the school by the Kerala Human Rights Commission.
