Led by Chief Miniser (CM) Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Madhya Pradesh (MP) Government has so far brought back over five lakh migrant labourers who had been stranded in other States due to the COVID-19 induced nationwide lockdown, reports Financial Express.
Sharing the details, State's additional chief secretary ICP Keshari shared that while at least 3.52 lakh labourers have returned to the State via buses, more than 1.46 lakh others have been brought back to the State in 119 Shramik Specal trains run by Indian Railways.
Meanwhile, Keshari also shared that the State Government has also been engaged in facilitating the transport of migrant workers employed in Madhya Pradesh and hailing from other States to the borders of to the State.
