In an attempt to ease the tensions in the bilateral relationship between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, the Islamic republic's Army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa will be flying to the the Gulf Kingdom on Sunday (14 August), reports Economic Times.

The bilateral relationship took a major blow in the recent times when Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had slammed Saudi Arabia over the Kashmir issue.

This was not taken well by Saudi Arabia which is the biggest source of remittance income to Pakistan's falling economy, and also one of its largest creditors.

It is in this light that Bajwa has decided to fly to Saudi Arabia to undo the damage caused by Qureshi's threat.
