United States (US)'s former Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Nikki Haley has lambasted the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in her latest book, alleging that the nation harbours terrorists who "go out and try to kill American soldiers," reports The Indian Express.
Haley categorically pointed out that the US provided Pakistan with more aid than almost all the nations, highlighting that in 2017 alone, the aid from US to Pakistan Military amounted to almost a billion dollars.
“We give Pakistan more aid than all but a handful of countries. In 2017 the US gave their military almost $1 billion in aid. Pakistan opposes us at the UN a full 76 percent of the time. What’s worse, Pakistan harbours terrorists who go out and try to kill our American soldiers,” Haley wrote in the latest book.
In the book titled, "With All Due Respect: Defending America with Grit and Grace" Haley has also shared that when she apprised the US President Donald Trump about the aforementioned findings, he was outraged. She claimed that it based on these findings that soon after President Trump went on to ask the Congress to pass legislation to ensure that all US aid went only to promote US interests and US friends.
