John Matze, CEO of popular social networking site Parler, has been forced to go into hiding along with his family after receiving death threats, New York Post reports.
As per reports, some people published Matze’s street address and also threatened to show up at his front door.
This incident was revealed in a court filing that was obtained by Fox News. Last week, Amazon kicked off Parler from its web hosting services after the violence at the US Capitol on January.
This action against Parler is being dubbed as an unprecedented act of censorship by the big tech companies.
Parler has now filed an antitrust lawsuit against Amazon.
“Matze himself, as the CEO of the company AWS continues to vilify, has had to leave his home and go into hiding with his family after receiving death threats and invasive personal security breaches,” Parler’s lawsuit read. Matze even opened that he is unsure of returning home for the time being.
