Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi's meticulously planned and surprise visit to Ladakh was coordinated by National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval along with Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) General MM Naravane and Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat, reports Hindustan Times.

While General Rawat and General Naravane also accompanied PM Modi on his visit to Ladakh, NSA Doval chose to remain in Delhi after having come out of two-week-long self-imposed isolation.

The information about the visit was kept a closely guarded secret and became public only after PM Modi had landed at Leh's Kushok Bakula Rimpochee airport.

According to the report, experts have said that the visit has not only sent a clear-cut signal to the Chinese establishment that India won't ceade even an inch of its territory, but has also reassured the local population.

It is also being said that PM Modi has given the message to commanders in Ladakh that any aggression from Chinese side should be met accordingly.
