Punjab: It’s Mayday For The Aam Aadmi Party, Kejriwal Has Fallen

Fighting in the 13 seats in the state of Punjab, AAP finds itself not lost, not rejected, not trailing, but decimated. Barring Sangrur, the stronghold of Bhagwant Mann, the AAP is in a condition where even a political ventilator cannot rescue the health of the party.

Their vote share, in terms of percentage, is as following; Amritsar: 1.96 per cent, Anandpur Sahib: 4.66 per cent, Bathinda: 12 per cent, Faridkot: 10.9 per cent, Fatehgarh Sahib: 4.6 per cent, In Firozpur: 2.42 per cent, Gurdaspur: 1.34 per cent, Hoshiarpur: 4.04 per cent, Jalandhar: 2.69 per cent, Khadoor Sahib; 1.02 per cent, Ludhiana: 1.44 per cent, Patiala: 4.67 per cent, and in Sangrur, it leads by a 38 per cent vote share.

In the light of recent events, one wonders for how long will Bhagwant Mann, winning from Sangrur, be with the party.

In 2014, the party had won from Patiala, Sangrur, Fatehgarh Sahib and Faridkot, with a vote share of 30 odd per cent. This time, they’ll find 12 of their 13 candidates thankful for saving their deposits, assuming they can.
