Radical Islamist groups including sympathisers of terrorist outfit ISIS yesterday (8 March) protested outside the Indian Embassy in Indonesia's capital city of Jakarta and Indian consulate in Medan in the nation against recent communal violence witnessed in Delhi, reports Economic Times.

A crowd of over 2,000 protesters was gathered outside the embassy which reportedly burnt down Indian national flags. Many of these protesters also waved ISIS flags outside the embassy. The protesters also threatened to launch protests against a leading Indian-origin businessman of the country.

Meanwhile, it should also be noted that the Indian Embassy has taken note of the swift action taken by the Foreign Ministry of Indonesia against the radicals. Addtionally, Pakistan is suspected to have an involvement in the protests organised outside the Embassy.
