The toll on account of Swine Flu in Rajasthan has touched 84, reports ANI. The figure was recorded during the period 1 January 2019 to 2 February 2019.
Over 2,200 people also tested positive for the virus during the period.
Swine Flu is caused by one of the many swine flu influenza viruses with the most common strain in the country being the H1N1 variety.
The H1N1 virus spreads when a person touches an infected individual or breathes infected droplets of cough or sneezes that are in the air. The symptoms of the flu include viral fever, cough, sore throat and body ache.
Among the most affected states during the period were Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and Maharashtra.
