The Supreme Court on Friday (26 June) stayed multiple FIRs which were filed by the Mamata Banerjee led West Bengal government against the editors of OpIndia.

Calling it a malicious act by the West Bengal government, Nupur added that she and her husband were interrogated by the cops for hours.

Nupur added that while her husband is not associated with OpIndia, a case was still filed against him under sections like 153A just because she used a phone number registered under his name.

She also thanked noted lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani who made a pro bono appearance in the Supreme Court to argue OpIndia's case. Nupur has assured that she will reveal full details of the FIR in the future.
