The Gurugram-Faridabad metro corridor and the Rapid Metro will connect at Sector 56, which will be a bridge with the Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line, reports Times of India.

An official from the Gurugram Metropolitan Developmental Authority (GMDA) has revealed that a proposal has been made to setup an interchange facility at Sector 56.

Moreover, such a facility is also believed to possibly increase the footfall in Rapid Metro. The Gurugram-Faridabad metro corridor is stretched across 32 km, out of which 4.19km portion of the corridor will pass underground. The project is slated to be launched in 2025. It will have eight stations with two of them underground.

The detailed project report (DPR) of this corridor was prepared in March 2020. Moreover, the first field survey to assess the alignment of the route, status of land and spots for developing stations has been carried out by the respective authorities too.
