The Staff Selection Commission(SSC) that recruits personnel for the ministries of the government of India and the subordinate offices is all set to launch its new logo which will be commissioned and adopted on 1 January 2019, reports India Today.
The new logo of SSC has the Indian emblem with the Ashok Chakra and a red circle in the background and is surrounded by the olive branches while the current logo is a green coloured circle consisting of a human figure standing in the centre.
SSC, a body attached to the office of Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), is headquartered in New Delhi and has regional offices at Allahabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai, Bangalore. It also has two Sub- Regional offices at Raipur and Chandigarh.
It functions as an autonomous body that is mainly engaged in conducting competitive exams such as the SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL), SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam (SSC CHSL) etc.
