On Monday the controversial NGO, PETA responded to the statement of DMK working president M K Stalin calling PETA anti-national. This statement was made in regards to PETA’s stand against Jallikattu. Stalin also suggested the Centre should immediately ban the international the NGO as it was against Tamil culture. In his response, PETA India director of veterinary affairs Manilal Valliyate said-
Article 51A (G) of the Constitution of India makes it the mandate of every Indian citizen to have compassion for animals.
