After inaugurating first cultural night at Renukaji fair, Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur announced establishing civil courts at Shillai, Tissa and Banjar, The Tribune has reported.
Thakur, addressing a gathering, stressed on the need of fairs and festivals for strengthening the bond of brotherhood among different sections of the society.
Thakur also announced an IPH sub-division for Dadahu as well as an SDM office at Sarahan from next year.
He also announced an upgradation of various schools at Nahan, Shillai and Paonta Sahib along with a Mukhya Mantri Lok Bhawan at Kafotta in Shillai.
Thakur, criticising the earlier Congress government, said educational and health institutions were opened by the previous government at the fag end of their tenure. Despite announcing five degree colleges in Sirmaur district, only Rs 1 lakh budget was set aside for these colleges by Congress, he said.
A mini secretariat, constructed at a cost of Rs 6.77 crore, at Sangrah was also inaugurated by him on the second day of his tour to Sirmaur.
Thakur laid the foundation stone of a double-lane bridge, to be constructed at a cost of Rs 14.27 crore, over Giri river on Nahan-Dadahu-Haripurdhar road.
