Tata Sky’s Revised Channel Fares Applicable From 23 May; Six New Packs Starting At Rs 139 On The Anvil

BySwarajya Staff

Tata Sky subscribers are expected to gain access to the revised fares for channels from 23 April along with new and renamed packs, reports Indian Television.

While major broadcasters like TV18 and Viacom18 have changed prices for many channels under their network, the difference between the current and revised fares is more prominent among regional and niche channels like News18 Bangla, Colors Infinity, MTV Beats etc.

Unlike most broadcasters which have brought down the prices of their channels, lifestyle channel Food Food’s prices have surged from Rs 0.30 to Rs 1.00.

Tata Sky has also launched new packs starting at Rs 139. In total, the leading direct-to-home operator is all set to roll out six new packs from 23 April, catering to different audiences.

Different Plans

Tata Sky has launched an Annual Flexi Plan which is a type of a long-duration plan under the new TRAI mandated tariff regime. If users avail this plan, they would be eligible for a recharge credit equivalent to the monthly subscription cost.

This plan is aimed at those customers who had decided to switch from their existing long-term packs to a regular pack after it was initially reported that they won’t be applicable under the new tariff regime.

Catering to sports lovers in the IPL season, Tata Sky is offering an a la carte cricket pack which is available in two languages- Hindi and English.
