TikTok Looking To Shift Headquarters To London, Other Cities To Distance Itself From Its Chinese Roots

In a bid to distance itself from its Chinese roots and ownership, Bytedance owned TikTok is now looking to move its headquarters to London in the United Kingdom (US), reports Economic Times.

It should be noted that London is not the only location which TikTok is considering, and no final decision has been made so far. Though it has been in discussions with the British Government for months now over the matter.

To strengthen its case in the US, the company is said to have recently gone on a hiring spree in the nation. It has also poached former Walt Disney co-executive Kevin Mayer to lead as the chief executive.

TikTok is also looking to expand its employee base in London and other major locations out of China over the coming years.
