India defeated Germany 5-4 in a high-intensity goal fest to win the bronze medal in men's hockey, their first medal in Olympics after a gap of 41 years.

India fought back brilliantly from a two-goal deficit to score an impressive 5-4 win that reminded its fans of the glory days when the Indians were a force to reckon with in World hockey.

Indians managed to score four goals in the last six minutes of the game after going down 1-3.

Afgter the victory of the Indian team, PM Modi congratulated them for bringing home a bronze medal.

"Historic! A day that will be etched in the memory of every Indian. Congratulations to our Men’s Hockey Team for bringing home the Bronze," PM Modi said in a tweet.

"With this feat, they have captured the imagination of the entire nation, especially our youth. India is proud of our Hockey team," PM Modi said.
