With polling in Rajasthan and Telangana having commenced, poll predictions for the assembly elections held in the five states - Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Telangana and Chhattisgarh - have begun doing the rounds.

Madhya Pradesh:

Past Government - BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party);

Total Seats - 230

BJP - 102-120 ; Congress - 104 - 122 ; Others - 4-11

Republic TV-C Voter:

BJP - 90-106 ; Congress - 110-126 ; Others - 6-22

Times Now-CNX:

BJP - 126 ; Congress - 89 ; Others - 15

Rajasthan:

Past Government - BJP (Bharatiya Janta Party);

The current election exercise, lasting more than a fortnight (between 12 November and 7 December), is being seen as a precursor to the 2019 general elections. The Election Commission of India (ECI) will announce the poll results on 11 December 2018.
