In India’s most populated states Uttar Pradesh (UP), 277 new cases of novel coronavirus were reported in last 24 hours, state’s Principal Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad said on Wednesday (10 June). Twenty people died in last 24 hours.
The total tally of the state reached 11,613 on Wednesday.
Prasad, while addressing the media for daily press briefing, also said that the state currently has 4,318 active cases, while 6,971 people have been completely cured and discharged. At least, 321 people have lost their lives due to COVID-19 in the state.
The state has also conducted over 4 lakh tests so far and the positivity rate stands at 2.87 per cent.
“4,04,637 samples have been tested so far in the state, out of which only 2.87 per cent have been found to be positive,” said Prasad.
