US President Donald Trump Spins The Charkha, Thanks Great Friend PM Modi For Sabarmati Ashram Visit

US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump stopped over at the Sabarmati Ashram founded by Mahatma Gandhi. During their brief stopover they were shown around the premises by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

During their visit, both the President and the First lady paid a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and also spun the charkha.

The delegation also visited the Hriday Kunj - home of Mahatma Gandhi and removed their shoes as a sign of respect.

Before exiting the Ashram, Trump also wrote “To my great friend Prime Minister Modi, thank you for the wonderful visit” in the visitor’s book.
