Uttarakhand Set To Reopen Corbett Tiger Reserve After Closure For Three Months

Uttarakhand is set to reopen Corbett tiger reserve after it was closed for nearly three months amid Covid-19 related restriction on tourist inflow to avoid infections.
Tourists will be allowed in three zones. All health protocols will be observed.
The move comes under the initiative from National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA). It has allowed tiger reserves across India to open. Precautions will be followed.
As per reports, the guidelines state mandatory thermal scanning of all visitors, tourists and drivers, the wearing of face shields masks by them, hand sanitisers in every vehicle, disinfecting of tyres, seating capacity reduced to 50 per cent and now allowing people below 10 years and above 65 years.
The SOPs issued by the state tourism department regarding the state and movement of visitors are being discussed with the district administration.
