Tata Sky is planning to combine digital content from various over the top (OTT) partners and launch it on its new mobile application, reports the Television Post. The Tata Sky Binge Service is planning to offer a vast number of content from various partners through one app, making it seamless and easy to use.
As per the report, content from different partner applications such as Hotstar, Hungama Play, SunNxt and Tata Sky’s library of Video on Demand (VOD) will be available on the app. Further, users can access missed episodes of various television shows from the last week.
Active Tata Sky DTH subscribers can avail the service, and the subscription charges will be directly debited from their Tata Sky DTH account. The service costs Rs 249 per month.
The operator, which was founded back in August 2006, is also partnering with Amazon to provide its services through the Fire TV device. For each subscriber ID, one fire TV device will be provided, with the service commitment of one year,
However, the company will have ownership of the device and will be offered at no extra costs on entrustment basis. Users will need an Amazon.in ID to complete the installation of the service. Amazon.in ID’s can be created at the Amazon.in the website or the mobile application.
