Troop insertion exercise along the LAC in eastern Ladakh.
India has conducted a troop insertion exercise along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh, where the India Army has been locked in a tense military standoff with the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China since May last month, India Today has reported.
The troop insertion drill was part of a larger airborne exercise in eastern Ladakh. The exercise was carried out on Monday (1 November) to test the rapid response capabilities of the Indian forces deployed in the region. Shatrujeet airborne brigade of the Indian Army participated in the three-day high-altitude exercise at an altitude of more than 14,000 feet.
