The Chief of All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM), Asaduddin Owaisi, was caught in an embarrassing situation when a woman, identified as Amulya, shouted "Pakistan Zindabad," reports India Today.
The organisers of the event had gathered under the banner of "Save Constitution" and had actually invited her to address the anti-CAA NRC and NRP rally in Bangalore on Thursday (20 February).
In the video that is making round on social media it can be seen that just as Owaisi was leaving the stage, the women started sloganeering "Pakistan zindabad". However, it immediately caught attention of Owaisi who turned around and tried to take the microphone away from her. Afterwards, she was forced to leave the stage.
Owaisi than addressed the gathering and said, "Neither me nor my party has any link with her. We denounce her. The organisers should not have invited her here [Bengaluru rally]. If I knew this, I would not have come here. We are for India and we no way support our enemy nation Pakistan. Our entire drive is to save India."
On the same day, AIMIM and former Maharashtra MLA Waris Pathan has been recorded making an inflammatory speech in an anti-CAA rally in Karnataka’s Gulbarga.
In the video, Pathan can be heard saying that, “they cannot compete with our firebrand speeches, we have learned how to pay back in the same coin with interest”.
“Aazadi leni padei aur jo chheez mange se nahin milti, use cheen ke lena padega (we have to take our aazadi and have to forcibly take what we are denied)“, added Pathan.
