Watch: Violent Mob Chants Allahu Akbar As It Pelts Stones On School Buses, Cops In Delhi’s Seelampur

BySwarajya Staff

The protests against Citizenship Amendment Bill turned violent in Delhi’s Seelampur as the protesting mobs engaged in brazen attacks against common people, vehicles on the road as well as police personnel.

Even as the mainstream media and intellectuals were discussing the alleged police brutality against Jamia students, the violent mobs chanting “Allahu Akbar” were caught on video, pelting stones, attacking and chasing the policemen.

In another video, the protesters were seen attacking the vehicles on the road, along with a school bus.

Opindia reported a video of the protests, with “Azadi” slogans being raised against Hindus,"Hinduon se Azadi”.

While some alleged that the protesters were saying “Vidroha se” instead of “Hindus”, and the audio isn’t clear, but the word“Hindu-” is clearly audible, and therefore the argument that it is “Vidroha se” is false.

It is important to note that the above video is different from another video, which is of a separate protest with the slogan “Hindutva se Azadi” and “Savarkar ki Kabr Khudegi AMU ki chhaati par” etc.

The latter one had been published by several mainstream media channels clarifying that the protesters are saying “Hindutva” and not “Hindus”. However, the first video has failed to garner similar attention.

Seelampur in Delhi is dominated by the Muslim community and is the constituency of AAP MLA Haji Ishraq. Previously, BJP leader Manoj Tiwari had accused the AAP MLA from Okhla Amanatullah Khan of provoking violence in the name of anti-CAB protests.

Delhi Police PRO, MS Randhawa has meanwhile said that the situation is under control in Seelampur. “We are monitoring the situation. We are taking CCTV footage from areas where any incident is taking place. Video recording is also being done. None of the people, involved in such incidents, will be spared,” he added.
