Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a rally at Kanyakumari on Friday (1 March) stated that the government is creating a reform-oriented, people-friendly economy thereby fulfilling the dreams of C Rajagopalachari, fondly remembered as Rajaji.
Modi cited a few examples like India’s improving ranking in the ‘Ease of Doing Business’ index and quick loan approvals to justify his point.
He was also quoted as saying that the government is keen to emulate Rajaji’s visions, who was one of the foremost critics of Congress’ economic culture.
Modi also attacked the Congress by alleging that the party promoted an economic culture which just helped the friends and families of dynasties.
He also launched a political attack on his opponents by asserting that some political parties are morphing their hate against Modi into a hate against India. He also alleged that such political parties are doubting Indian armed forces and issuing statements favourable to Pakistan.
He also referred to the Indian Air Force’s strike on Jaish-e-Mohammed terror camp in Pakistan by stating that, “Uri happened, you saw what our brave soldiers did. Pulwama happened, you saw what our air force did”.
